Enjoy Life – the benefits are priceless!
Let’s face it – we only get once chance at life. This isn’t a dress rehearsal, and the years go by so fast! So, it’s in our best interest to make the most of our lives while we are here by enjoying each moment of every day the best we can.
There are lots of ups and downs in life that can throw us off course and sometimes skew our mindset. Some people are thrown more challenges during their lives than others, but none of us get to escape challenge free.
So how do we enjoy life when sucky stuff happens to us all the time?
It’s all about mindset and purposeful life habits!
Here’s ten mindsets and purposeful life habits that will help you to better enjoy your life:
- Know yourself and apply self-compassion and self-care where needed to help ride life’s waves.
- Make the decision to cast aside negative thoughts and emotions and welcome in positive thoughts and emotions.
- Look for the positives in every situation.
- Accept yourself for who you are.
- Practice mindfulness and incorporate meditation into your days.
- Nurture relationships and end any that are not serving you.
- Look after your body and mind – eat healthy foods and move your body!
- Feed your spirit – listen to music, read books, enjoy food, follow your passions.
- Use failures and times that you go off track as opportunities to learn lessons for the future.
- Pay it forward. Use your talents, knowledge or kindness to help others.

Loved your post Min. It’s always good to be reminded of the good things we have all around us. Self care is so important, and so often overlooked. x
Thanks so much Lyndall! I learnt the hard way how important self-care is! 🙂 x
Great list Min and I need to take heed of (ahem) most of these. I’m prone to NOT be mindful and to wallow, focus on the negatives etc… when really I have so much to be grateful for!
xxx
Thanks Deb! I think we all need to be reminded of these 10 things now and then. I may know them but I certainly haven’t perfected them all. I’m always a work in progress just like most people are! 🙂 xo
Beautiful post Min. Yes to all! x
Thanks Jodi! 🙂 x
It sounds so simple. It makes you want to look for the catch. Then you realise that there isn’t one. It really IS that simple. x #teamIBOT
It does sound simple and it is … but it can be very easy to go off track. So it’s good to be reminded now and then to refocus on these 10 things to help get things back on the right track! 🙂 x
Great list of the basics we all need to be reminded of.
Thanks Malinda!
Great tips Min. I like the one about accepting yourself. That’s so important.
Thanks Jess and yep that accepting yourself as you are one sure is an important one!
A great list as always, Min. I definitely need to practice more mindfulness at the moment and number four is particularly relevant too 🙂
Thanks Renee! I need to practice more mindfulness also. I’ve let is slip a bit, and yes No. 4 is an important one! 😉 x
If we can master 4, we’ve nailed it. x
That’s for sure! It’s not always easy though because many of us tend to be quite hard on ourselves! 😉 x
Thanks for the reminders her Min. Its very easy when times are difficult to withdraw and not care for yourself. (Especially for me it is anyway). Four and six are pertinent especially for someone like myself who takes things to heart and is easily hurt.
Very true Patrick – that when times are difficult we can tend to withdraw and not care for ourselves. This list is important for everyone to be reminded of – including me! Four is a hard but important one and same for six!
I need to find a way to really etch these into my everyday. I feel I go through phases but then it’s so easy (for whatever reason) to let that negative talk take over… Thanks again for the reminders.
It’s very easy to let things slip Zita! All the more reason to keep this list handy to remind us! 🙂 xo
