UPDATE – 27 FEBRUARY 2024

In addition to being sick with an infection, Mum has had a fall and broken her hip. She was admitted to hospital on Friday 22/2/24 and had surgery on the Sunday that followed. I am spending most of my time now at the hospital.

Meanwhile – Sue & Debbie will guest host #WWWhimsy not just this week, but until I can again. Thank you so much to the both of them. I hope that won’t be too long. I hope that Mum improves and heals well.

Please keep my beautiful mother in your thoughts in prayers!

Ciao for now,

Hi everyone,

Just a very short post to let you know that life has become a little bit busy for me at present and I need to lighten the load for a short while. These are a few reasons why:

  • I’ve spent a lot of time over at Mum’s house getting it ready for the stylist and agent and it will soon be on the market. It’s been very physical and exhausting. Emotional too – but we won’t go there!
  • Mum is very unwell. She has an infection. She’s on antibiotics and I’m hoping she will soon improve. I’ve been spending a lot more time at the aged care facility with her than usual.
  • Mum’s sister is arriving tomorrow morning (at the time of typing this) from interstate and will be staying for around 4 days so that she can spend some time with Mum.
  • I’m exhausted. I feel rundown. I need to ease my load where I can so I don’t get sick.

But of course I want to keep #WWWhimsy going so I reached out to Sue Loncaric of Women Over 50 Living Well and Debbie Harris of Deb’s World and asked if they’d like to guest host #WWWhimsy next week to help me out and they very kindly and generously agreed to. Thank you so much to the both of them! They are legends! There may be other times that they guest host but we will wait and see what life decides to throw at me. Hopefully things improve for me soon!

So next week on Wednesday 28 February – rather than coming here to Write of the Middle to link up for #WWWhimsy – please go to either Sue’s blog or Debbie’s blog and link up there on their posts.  They will share reading and commenting on linked up posts.

Thank you Sue and Debbie for helping us to keep #WWWhimsy going through thick and thin!

Check back here at Write of the Middle the following week when I will have a fabulous guest post for your reading pleasure!

Ciao for now,

A NOTE ON THIS WEEK’S #WWWhimsythank you to Sam of The Annoyed Thyroid for her fabulous guest post and for responding to comments. Unfortunately, I won’t be able to respond to comments and read and comment on those posts linked up until next next week. I hope you can all understand. I haven’t forgotten you – you’ll hear from me eventually!

Hi Sue, thank you so much! Of course you and Deb haven’t let me down – not at all. In fact I just can’t think of how to fully express how grateful I am to you both. I just needed to drop the ball for a while and you were both there to catch it for me and I’ll appreciate that very much always. Thank you! xo
