Hello there! I am officially OUT OF OFFICE from today up to and including 30 November, because today I fly to Melbourne again! See here and here for all the details on my other recent ‘brief’ trip to Melbourne.
We will have two nights in Melbourne city and then pick up a hire car and head off to explore The Great Ocean Road. It falls under No. 18 on my very neglected Bucket List!
There will be a night spent in Lorne, Apollo Bay, Port Campbell, Port Fairy, Geelong, one more night in Melbourne city and then we fly home.
I will be going on a helicopter for the first time! So exciting (what magnificent sights to be seen) but I think I might be a little nervous! It is a 15 minute flight that will cover approximately 45 km’s and where we will see:
There will be my regular Skin Care Saturday posts on November 24 and December 1 but no other blog post until the Lovin’ Life linky on Thursday 6 December.
Unfortunately, I won’t be able to respond to comments or be a good linky co-hostess today but hopefully you can forgive me on this occasion. With the exception of posting pics to Instagram (which feed through to my FB page) I plan to try and be as digital/screen free as possible while away. Catch you on the flip side!
Ciao for now,
Link up here at WOTM or with another of us in the Lovin’ Life Linky team:

Deborah of Debbish | Jo of The Hungry Writer – Joanne Tracey.
It doesn’t matter where you link up as it will magically appear on all five blogs.

You’re absolutely forgiven – on account of how I can’t wait to see your pics!
Thank you! So many pics! Might take me awhile to sort through them all! lol
Have a fabulous time Min and I know you will just love the Great Ocean Road and the helicopter flights. Enjoy your time off and can’t wait to read all about it. xx
Thanks Sue! It was fabulous! I shared quite a bit via Instagram but still have soooo many photos to sort through etc. I need a holiday to recover from the holiday to be honest. It was go, go, go and I was getting rather exhausted by the end! xo
Lucky you. I am slightly jealous!!
It was fabulous. One incredible sight after another … and the helicopter flight was my highlight!! Loved it! 🙂
Have a fabulous trip, Min! Look forward to seeing your pics. #teamlovinlife
Thanks Natalie – it was fantastic! I’ve shared some pics via Instagram but have heaps more to sort through and hopefully there will be a blog post or two in the near future.
Looks fantastic! I can’t wait to see photos when you get back 🙂
Stacks shared via Instagram (feed & in Insta stories) but sooooo many more photos to sort through and share yet! lol
Sounds gorgeous! Enjoy!
It was fabulous Janet and very much enjoyed. Always good to be home again though and really do need a rest! lol
I’ve only been to Melbourne once or twice briefly and didn’t do any touristing but I hear such wonderful things about the Great Ocean Road. I hope you have a wonderful time – I’m sure you will – and can’t wait to see the photos!
Thanks Deb. It was amazing. The helicopter flight that I was so nervous about turned out to be the highlight for me. It was exhilarating and to see everything from the air is incredible!
Bon Voyage Min – at least this trip to Melbourne will be the beginning of a less stressful adventure than the last trip was! Enjoy every minute and we’ll look forward to all the photos you share on FB xx
Thanks Leanne – yes far less anxiety inducing this time! Only thing I was a bit nervous about was the helicopter flight and that turned out to be the highlight for me. It was the biggest buzz. I loved it! 🙂 xo
Enjoy, Min! The helicopter ride sounds like it would be the ride of a lifetime!
SSG xxx
Thanks SSG – spot on about the helicopter ride! I absolutely loved it! Just wish it had been for much longer! 🙂 xo
Have fun galavanting (or gallivanting) the GOR. It’s one of Australia’s epic scenic drives.
I gallivanted AND galavanted my little heart out! lol So much so that by the end I was absolutely exhausted and I’m home now to recover!! I loved it all so much. Nature is incredible! 🙂
Sounds like a wonderful time. Very cool. Have fun. #Lovinlifelinky
Thanks Patrick – I had a wonderful time! 🙂
The Great Ocean Road is on our Bucket List too. Have a great time!
It’s well worth being on a bucket list. It’s a must do! My tip is to take your time with it. There is so much to see and do and trying to cram too much into a day is exhausting! The GOR covered a lot more distance than people realise I think. We spent 1 night in Lorne, 1 night in Apollo Bay, 1 night in Port Campbell and 1 night in Port Fairy (which is not part of the GOR) and I wish we’d taken longer with it to be honest. I would’ve liked maybe 2 nights in Apollo Bay and 2 nights in Port Campbell. It would then allow you some ‘chill out/rest time’ in there somewhere and more time for some of the beautiful walks that are around etc. My other tip is that when you want to see the MAIN sights (i.e. the 12 apostles, london bridge, the arch etc) – go early morning before 10am. That way you’re more likely to beat all the HEAPS of buses full of tourists. Lots of tourists makes vying for a good spot to see and photograph the sight much more difficult! 🙂
Sounds like you are going to have a great adventure! Hubby is planning a helicopter ride for our holiday next summer. I’m quite excited!
It was fabulous and I LOVED the helicopter ride! I’m sure you will too. It’s quite a buzz and incredible to see things from the air. 🙂
