I’m squeezing in an extra blog post this week before we run out of MAY!Β My plan was to do a ‘Taking Stock’ post every month this year and I have for February and March but April came and went in a whir of preparation for our trip to Tassie and actually being on our Tassie trip and May is nearly at its end.Β So here I am wrapping April and May into a Taking Stock post before May ends on Sunday (my birthday!).
…oooOOOooo…
Making: Lists β lots of lists! Helps me feel organized!
Cooking: Soups! I love this time of year!
Drinking: Water and lots of it! (trying to do the right thing)
Reading: Blog posts! Trying to catch up on all that I missed while away. I havenβt read a book in ages, which is very strange for me who usually reads many, many books. Not sure why this is the case?
Wanting: To lose some weight!Β What’s new?! lol
Looking: Forward to Sunday when I spend time with family for my birthday.
Playing: The piano occasionally to relax.
Deciding: Next steps in relation to improving my health.
Wishing: My health issues were all sorted and under control.
Enjoying: The cooler weather. I love it!
Waiting: For my luck to change! Does that happen?
Liking: Reno Rumble! Iβm a sucker for a makeover show and Iβm enjoying this one. Not very impressed with the styling on House Rules this year!
Wondering: Why my right elbow hurts so much!
Loving: My kids. I missed them when we were away.
Pondering: My next steps in every which way.
Considering: A huge lifestyle shake-up.
Buying: Supplements! Blood tests showed I was deficient in Vitamin D, Vitamin B12 and Iron!
Watching: Recorded Outlander episodes. Love seeing the books Iβve read brought to life!
Hoping: I will feel the benefits of the new supplements Iβm taking real soon!
Marvelling: At how beautiful Tasmania is! Loved it when we were there and re-living it all while going through all the photographs I took.

Wallaby or Paddy Melon? I think Wallaby. The Tennis Player thinks Paddy Melon. What do you think? Photographed at Cataract Gorge, Launceston – Tasmania.
Cringing: At a very unflattering photo taken of me in Tasmania by my husband that will never see the light of day!
Needing: An energy boost!
Questioning: The opinions of doctors. I donβt always take what they say as gospel anymore. I seek second opinions and go with what feels right to me.
Smelling: Canβt smell. See all previous Taking Stock posts!
Wearing: Iβm still in t-shirts at home. Itβs not cold yet for me β just comfortable! Iβm hot blooded!
Following: Some awesome new bloggers!
Noticing: That my camelliaβs are finally flowering nicely!
Knowing: That Christmas will be here before we know it. The year is flying!
Thinking: About ProBlogger in August and hoping I will feel well enough to attend and enjoy myself.
Admiring: My mum who at 74 is still so full of energy, passion and purpose!
Sorting: Through hundreds and hundreds of photos that I took in Tasmania.
Getting: This post written so that I can then head to the kitchen to prepare a soup for dinner tonight (creamy cauliflower soup – so yummy)!
Bookmarking: Lots of pages relevant to my current health issues. Knowledge is power.
Coveting: So many of the products used on Reno Rumble. How I wish I had a large budget to makeover my own home!
Disliking: That my old dog Chelseaβs obsession with food has become ridiculous. She is constantly scratching at doors wanting to be fed.
Opening: Β Too many bills!
Giggling: At the antics of our younger dog Ava. She can be such a funny little thing!
Feeling: Hopeful!
Snacking: Love a bit a cheese and gherkin relish on a water cracker!
Wishing: I was made of hardier stock!
Helping: My daughter with information for a journalism assignment sheβs working on.
Hearing: My dog Chelsea snoring!
…oooOOOooo…
What do you think – Wallaby or Paddy Melon?Β

Min I’m sorry to read about your health issues. I hope you are able to get some answers soon and definitely before ProBlogger so you can enjoy yourself. X
Thank you Bec! I’ll live but it sure does get tiresome and frustrating not being well. Hoping I can chip away at getting things sorted so I am fit and hardy for PB in August! xo
OK. So that soup looks divine!
It IS divine! If only parsnips weren’t so expensive, I’d make it more often! Luckily we have quite a few fabulously tasty soup recipes that we rotate through each winter. π
Happy pre-birthday in case I miss it! And thanks for the reminder, I should watch some more Outlander.
Thanks so much Malinda! Yes – do watch some Outlander! It’s so great! The next one I’m to watch is that horrible prison scene with Jamie and Randall but it’s all part of the story! I loved the books! π
Happy Birthday for Sunday. I hope that everyone in your family is well and healthy so that you can all enjoy the day. May you be treated like a Queen for at least one day of the year.
Cheers,
Patrick
Your messages always put a smile on my face Patrick – thank you so much! Not sure I’ll be treated like a Queen but it’ll be a nice day where I spend time with family, don’t have to cook, and I get some nice little treats which will be lovely! π
I rarely take flattering photos now. It’s depressing. (Out of all that, that’s what you comment on? I hear you say…)
LOL Lydia – I don’t think it’s weird that you commented on that at all! I rarely like any photo of myself either! I think in my minds eye I see myself as the younger version of me and when I see the reality I can’t compute! I’m working on it! π
I hope you’re well enough to attend ProBlogger in August too! I’ll be seeing you there π
I’d love to meet you! Fingers and toes crossed! π
Sorry to hear about your health issues but you’re so right, knowledge is power! I love soup season too and I too hope you will be well enough to enjoy and attend Problogger so we can triumph over our FODP! Have a wonderful day on Sunday, I hope all your birthday wishes come true! x
I’ll live Sammie – just a few issues to iron out. Soups are the best aren’t they! I SO want to meet you at PB and you need not have any FODP with me coz I know you’ll be just a fabulous as I know you are. I’m a pretty quiet person so I often worry people will think I’m boring. I can get a bit noisy though once I get comfy! My Sunday is sure to be fabulous – thanks for your bday wishes! π xo
I’m loving reno rumble too! I hope you do come to Problogger Min it would be great to catch up again π
Reno rumble is churning out some amazing rooms (errr…houses!) isn’t it?!! Fingers and toes crossed that all is well by August and I get to PB and yes it would be great to catch up with you again! π
Hello Min, I said I’d pop over to your blog didn’t I!? Sorry to hear you’ve been unwell and hope you have some answers and good news soon. Your holiday sounded pretty awesome! I’ve not travelled much at all and Tasmania seems such a unique place. Tomorrow, Sunday and your birthday marks the end of May! happy birthday dear Min and many thanks for your kind support of my blog too. Denyse x
Hello Denyse! How fabulous to have you visit my bloggy home! My health issues have been a pain in the butt but there are people with far worse problems than me. I’ll get there eventually! Our holiday to Tasmania was amazing. I haven’t travelled much either so it was a real thrill to go somewhere I hadn’t been before. Thank you for the birthday wishes. I had a lovely day – just wish time would slow down as it only seems like yesterday I had my last birthday! xo
I met a client the other day who could not stop talking about the Outlander series! I hadn’t heard of it at all and now your post! It’s a sign! I think I need to watch it π
P.S Happy birthday for today, lovely lady x
I’m not sure what you’d make of Outlander (the series) without having first read the books Grace? I’d be interested to hear what you think though if you watch it having not read the books first! Many, many thanks for the birthday wishes! π xo
Oh Min – I hope your health issues are sorted very quickly hun and you are feeling better than twins. As for that soup – that looks like liquid gold. xx
Thanks Sonia – I’m chipping away at it and yes that soup is really yum! π xo
Sorry to hear your health is not that good, hopefully I get to see you at Problogger. I love soup season too. Zoe xx
Thanks Zoe! My plan is to be fit and hardy by August and able to make it to Problogger. Hope to see you there! Isn’t soup season the best?! I have so many fabulously yum soup recipes! π xo
