of my local area on Moreton Bay where I am lucky
to be able to go walking!

August has been a month that I’ve both looked forward to and been very anxious about, and here we are now nearly at the very end of it!  My sister’s birthday was on the 9th and I knew that soon after that would be my first Problogger Event.  I was excited about it but also quite scared about it to be honest!  Anyway – I went, I enjoyed it, and I survived to tell the tale as you can see here and here and there is more to come!

So, now that the month is nearing its end, it’s time for a little reflection.  Let’s go!

+++

Making:  Time to do some walking at my local waterfront (on Moreton Bay)
Cooking:  Healthy foods as always
Drinking:  Coffee and water
Reading:  Lots of post #PBevent blog posts
Wanting:  More hours in a day
Looking:  Forward to December when we’ve booked 7 nights at Burleigh Heads on the Gold Coast!
Playing:  The events and learnings from #PBevent 2015 over and over in my mind!
Deciding:  On many things blog related
Wishing:  I could have had longer chats with some people I met at #PBevent
Enjoying:  The fact that I have learnt some really important new stuff that I can hopefully use to improve my blog and more importantly the experience that my readers have when they visit my blog!
Waiting:  For a headache to go away at the moment!
Liking:  That I now have so many more faces and voices to put with the blogs that I enjoy reading on-line
Wondering:  Where the Problogger event will be next year
Loving:  The fact that Twin 2 got offered and accepted a job on Wednesday!
Pondering:  My Why
Considering:  My mission and vision
Buying:  No more for a while.  I have spent way too many $$’s lately!
Watching:  The Bachelor – I know it’s a silly show but light reality helps me to relax sometimes and I love reading the hilarious Rosie (of Mamamia) & Those Two Girls recaps!
Hoping:  That my Mum’s broken wrist heals up and is pain free very soon
Marvelling:  At the amount of incredibly smart, passionate and clever bloggers there are in the Australian blogosphere!
Cringing:  Over how dorky I can be.  I really should get out more!
Needing:  Lots and lots and lots more $$money to do all the things I wanna do!!
Questioning:  Always questioning what I do, how I do it and why I do it and the biggie – should I keep doing it?
Smelling:  Still can’t smell!
Wearing:  Comfy and casual clothes when I’m at home
Following:  Lots of new bloggers since #PBevent 2015!
Noticing:  That I’ve been feeling a bit flat since #PBevent.  Not sure why?
Knowing:  That I need to get outdoors and active more to get my head into a better place!
Thinking:  Up 100 blog post ideas and writing a list.  I’m up to No. 57 at the time of writing this!
Admiring:  Those that walk their talk and are as they portray themselves to be!
Sorting:  Out my SEO! I forgot about that pesky green light. Nearly all rectified now!
Getting:  Myself more organised, or at least trying to!
Bookmarking:  Blog posts I want to read but haven’t had yet had time to!
Coveting:  So many blogging courses I’d like to do – hence my words for ‘Needing’ above!
Disliking:  The disappointment of meeting someone that I had admired for many years who walked away from me mid conversation and was completely disinterested
Opening:  Daily Blogger Boss emails teaching me how to better understand Google Analytics. I highly recommend this!
Giggling:  with my daughter when we watch The Bachelor together!
Feeling:  Like a very small fish in a very big and clever sea, but that’s ok because there is no other fish in the sea that is quite like me!
Snacking:  On too many things I shouldn’t lately!  Must get back on track!
Helping:  Myself by listening and learning to understand my limitations and needs and acting as needed!
Hearing:  The snores of my doggies – music to my ears!

Gosh – who would be so rude as to walk away from you mid conversation??! Wow!
Some nice images to view too. I should do one of these posts too! x

It was so very disappointing Jody but I wouldn’t ever reveal who this person was. So glad you like the images. Yes do a taking stock post – they’re so good for making you stock and really think about how things are with you! πŸ™‚ x

Love me a Taking Stock post! Snap, snap and snap on so many things… especially feeling, noticing and pondering. Min, have you morphed into a mind reader? Or are we great minds thinking alike?! Oh, and I have a headache too. It just won’t budge! Here’s to a sensational September! x

    • Reply Min August 28, 2015 at 12:06 pm

Maybe we are kindrid spirits Sammie! I’m not surprised you have the same ‘feeling’ and ‘pondering’ as me but sorry to hear you have the same ‘noticing’ as me! Hope your headache has gone!! Bring on September! πŸ™‚ xo

I really want to do this soon but haven’t done a ‘personal’ blog post for a while – too busy catching up on book stuff… but I think it will be a good one to start with!

Love these (and lovely pics as usual Min!).

It would be a good one to start with Deb! Allow some time for it though. I usually do a bit, walk away, go back to it later – a few times! It requires quite a bit of thought and takes longer than you might think! πŸ™‚

August has been a busy one for me, not in relation to my blog which has been a little neglected but an impromptu switch to SAHM for a few weeks has left me exhausted, I’ll take work any day! Can’t wait for Spring! And gorgeous pics too.

    • Reply Min August 28, 2015 at 12:09 pm

SAHM is hard work – I know from experience! When my kids were little, going to work was easier than staying home! I get it! Many thanks for the compliment on the photos! πŸ™‚ x

Love the photos. I have a theory you should never meet your idols. I like to see them in close proximity, but I always leave them be, because if they’re jerks or ego maniacs, it ruins it for me….

    • Reply Min August 29, 2015 at 11:07 am

Thanks Lydia! I wouldn’t call this person one of my idols but certainly someone I thought highly of and admired.

So much to take stock of Min. I must admit I have been flat (and busy) since Problogger. I am taking on a consultancy outside of work hours in September, so the busyness is going to continue but I will get back to my blog eventually (and the money will help pay for our new pool fencing/deck). Make sure you remind me when you are coming down the Gold Coast in December and we can catch up. X

    • Reply Min August 30, 2015 at 9:40 am

I did hear there is apparently a post-Problogger blues thing! Oh Kathy – it sure does sound like you’re going to be busy! The new pool fencing and deck sounds exciting! I would love to catch up when we’re at the Gold Coast! Happy hour up high (we’ll be on Floor 15 or above) looking out over Burleigh beach could be an option or lunch or dinner out. I’ll chat closer to the time! πŸ™‚ xo

Oh gosh, you do live in a picturesque place! How beautiful it must be to be able to walk that walk. Great taking stock post. I feel flat from ProBlogger and I wasn’t even there lol! Everyone has been so generous in their sharing. Very inspiring. Keep remembering that there is no other fish in the sea quite like you. and that’s more than okay! That’s wonderful!!! πŸ™‚ Xx

    • Reply Min August 30, 2015 at 9:41 am

It is a lovely spot to go walking Sandra! Now how can you feel flat from Problogger when you weren’t even there?! LOL Yep there is no-one else in this world as um ‘interesting’ as me! πŸ˜‰ xo

I so want to sit in that chair on that beachfront. Moreton Bay looks divine Min. As for that person who walked away from you mid conversation – OMG how freaking rude! They didnt deserve your attention and I hope you have not given them a second thought since. As for the Bachelor… Now THAT deserves some attention lol. How juicy is it getting! Do you think someone is really pregnant? Who are you going for? xx

    • Reply Min August 31, 2015 at 9:47 pm

I’ve sat on that chair and many others along Moreton Bay there over the years Sonia! Yep it was very rude when that person walked away from me. I thought they were just dashing over to get some food and would be right back. Um … nope! Awkward for me, so disappointing and actually quite a bit hurtful! I love watching the Bachelor (as cheesy as the show is). Can’t wait to see what’s going on that makes he walk out of the rose ceremony this week. I don’t think anyone is pregnant LOL Um … I think Heather is a front runner and I do quite like her. Not sure that I have a favourite tho! πŸ™‚ xo

Min, I was so saddened to read that someone could be so rude as to walk away mid conversation. That is definitely a reflection on them not you. I love your photos especially the chair and the one with the lonely rotten wooden pier posts in the distance. You always touch me with your work.

    • Reply Min September 7, 2015 at 2:32 pm

It is a reflection on them – you’re right Patrick. However, it was hard to not ponder why they thought so low of me to think that was acceptable to do. Oh well – I haven’t dwelled on it. I’m glad you’ve enjoyed the photo’s. They were taken a year ago as contenders for a local photography competition.
