There are many things about Brisbane of which I’m very proud! I was born and raised here and I know a good thing when I see it. Brisbane’s Roma Street Parklands is like Central Park is to New York City – a beautiful, glorious nature retreat right in the centre of the city. It is so beautiful! Today for Wordless Wednesday I’m sharing just a couple of photo’s of the Roma Street Parkland’s central lake and its fountain as well as my favourite ‘Double Trouble’ duck photograph taken on this very lake and which I used as part of my final photography assignment portfolio.
These images really look their best if viewed at their full size. To do that – 1) click on image & a smaller version will appear 2) click on smaller version of image and you will then see the full sized image. To return to post just hit the back arrow on your browser a couple of times!
Ciao for now,

Okay how embarrassing, I must confess I have never actually been to Roma St Parklands. Must write it down so next time hubster and I want to go on a date, we can go visit!
You know what – until I spent a few hours there in October 2014 to take a heap of photos for my photography assignment – I hadn’t been there before either. And I worked in the city for years and years! Take it from me – it is SO worth a visit. It is absolutely beautiful there. One warning though – there are lots of water dragons everywhere (just in case you have a fear of them)!
Oh boy somewhere that I have been to. Great photos.
Ahhh – so you’re a Brizzie girl?
You know I was born here and have lived here all my life and have never been to Roma Street Parklands! I’ve been to the Botanical Gardens though 🙂
I was the same Toni (see my comment in response to Janet). You must go there. It is amazing!! 🙂
