I haven’t had the chance to pick up the camera for a while so for Wordless Wednesday this week I have scrolled back through some old photo’s. This one of some new buds on one of my Camellia plants was taken in February 2014 and never edited! I love going back through old images, finding a long forgotten one that I like and then editing it to bring it to life. This was taken with my old Nikon D3100 and its kit lens (18-55 mm).
I like the stream of analogy’s that can be aligned with flower buds, like: new life, new beginnings, new adventures, growth!
On the subject of flower buds, I particularly like this quote by Anais Nin:
And the day came when the risk to remain tight in a bud was greater than the risk it took to bloom
…and I apply it and the aforementioned analogy’s to our current situation where we are soon off on a new adventure, our lives entering a new phase where we are learning to let go and trust that the ‘kids’ (young adults) will manage without us. We will grow from these experiences, and so will they!
Ciao for now,

Lovely pic. Great quote too Min. Your kids are going to be fine. Or about to throw one hell of a party? Both?

Thanks Leanne! No parties allowed! ๐
I don’t even want to imagine the time I have to worry about her moving out. I’m already worried enough about having to let her go to school in a few years lol. Loely photo ๐
Lovely photo I mean, obviously! Clearly I need another cup of tea already.
Thanks Toni! ๐

Great quote, amazing picture! I’m sure it will be good for your kids to miss their parents a bit and manage by themselves. Can’t wait to hear all bout it when you come back.
Thanks Rita! First lot of photo’s just been published. ๐
