ZTT Mid-Year Break
Zen Tip Tuesday has been running now every Tuesday from 22 January until 18 June.
That’s 22 Gems of Zen over 22 weeks!
What an awesome resource of ways and means of obtaining a sense of zen we have created!
Thank you from the bottom of my heart to each and every one of you who have contributed.
It’s time now for a well deserved mid-year break!
It’s time to stop, take stock, reflect, and maybe put some of these ‘Gems of Zen’ into practice.
Let’s take some time out to see what we can let go of, and what we could incorporate into our lives to help us feel more balanced and zen.
There will be a few changes to Zen Tip Tuesdays when it returns
- There will be no more ZTT ‘Link-Up’ with our Gems of Zen. The last link up (ZTT Link-Up #20) was on Tuesday 18 June 2019.
- Zen Tip Tuesday’s and our ever accumulating Gems of Zen will continue after the break, however …
- Zen Tip Tuesday’s will not be ‘every’ Tuesday as they have been so far. Zen Tip Tuesdays will be ‘Ad Hoc’ – on Tuesdays whenever there is a new Gem of Zen to share.
How long is the mid-year break?
Zen Tip Tuesday can resume anytime from Tuesday 23 July … dependant on when we next have a Gem of Zen to share.

If you’ve got a burning idea of a ‘gem of zen’ to share and you’re interested in having your post featured, send me an email at min@writeofthemiddle.com
If you’ve been sitting on the fence, come on, jump on in – we’d love to hear from you!
If you’ve already contributed a ‘Gem of Zen’ but have another one you’d like to share – no problem – send me an email with your topic idea.
Meanwhile, here’s where you can read all you need to know about being a guest poster for ZTT.
Be sure to refer to the Gems of Zen we have so far, for inspiration and so that you don’t write on a topic already covered.
PLEASE SHARE AND SPREAD THE WORD. More Gems of Zen are needed!
Why you should join the ZTT Train
Because we are creating a collection of real ‘human’ ways and means of obtaining a sense of zen. This means peace, relaxation, balance, and improved health and wellbeing. These things are golden in this day of technology and social media where we are switched on far more than we are meant to be. Our minds are being affected. They’re too busy. Our attention span’s are diminishing. Our cortisol levels are rising, and ultimately … our health is suffering.
Every little Gem of Zen that is contributed is special and important. You never know which one might resonate with each individual who might read them. Your post could be the one that makes a difference.
Aside from the difference you could make to fellow humans, I’ll share all your social media details in the Bio at the end of your post and share the post across all my social media.
Come join the ZTT train!
Meanwhile, for my ZTT mid-year break I’m heading off soon to Stradbroke Island for a 5 night stay. Beautiful, beautiful nature will soon be working its magic on me!
Ciao for now,

Hi Min, Putting the Gems of Zen into practice is good advice. “You never know when ones might resonate.” I look forward to reading more:). Erica
Thanks Erica/Erika – have a great week! 🙂
Enjoy the break. I’m kind of on mine too! #MLSTL
Thanks Lydia – it’s not a complete bloggy break (though next week will be) but still a much needed break! Enjoy yours!! 🙂
Hi Min I enjoy #ZTT and thought it was a great idea. Sometimes though we have to re-evaluate and a mid year break is the perfect time. I’ve taken a break from the Over 50 & Thriving Series after 18 months. It won’t be gone forever but sometimes life takes us on a different journey. Take care and thanks for sharing at #MLSTL. x
Thanks Sue – I still think ZTT is a great idea. Hopefully I’ll get some more Gems of Zen throughout the remainder of the year. Meanwhile I really do need a break and am looking forward to 5 nights over at Straddie very much! Yes life can take us on a different path now and then and your sure is going in a very exciting one! All the best! 🙂 xo
Min, it is always good to evaluate our blogs and look through a different lens, since our perspectives and stories we want to tell change over time. I’ve only read a few via #MLSTL but have enjoyed the zen! Several bloggers seem to be taking a break for summer, ironically it is my downtime now! We all have our seasons and there must be zen in that! Enjoy the break!
Thanks so much Terri – yes I love hearing the perspectives and ideas of others. We can often become stuck and listening to others can inspire us and open us up to options and ideas that we otherwise might not have considered. Summer for you – winter for us over here! LOL 🙂
I think taking a break is a great idea. Some bloggers throw in the towel when they run out of steam, and I think that’s a shame because sometimes we just need to “zen out” for a while, breathe and then come back stronger. I’m looking forward to #ZTT’s return and to reading what your new guests have to share xx
Thanks for linking up with us at MLSTL and I’ve shared on my SM 🙂
Thanks so much Leanne! It takes a lot for me to throw in the towel LOL I’ve been blogging since September 2012 – nearly 7 years now! I certainly know though when I need a break and I do need a break right now. So a week’s break from blogging and a longer break from ZTT. We shall see what the remainder of the year brings. I may come back from Straddie will some brilliant ideas. Who knows! That’s the fun thing about blogging is that our blogs can continually grow and evolve as we do. 🙂 xo
As you know I too have been evaluating my blog and am just back after quite a long break. I found it really worthwhile and a great way to regain some mojo. Enjoy your sabbatical 🙂
I so agree with this statement Min – Our attention span’s are diminishing. We’re too busy! I hope you enjoy your break and take time to reflect as needed. Take care. #mlstl
Hi Min, I’ve just found you from #MLSTL just as you go on a break 🙂 I totally agree with having a break, I feel I need to fit one in sometime. Enjoy your break #mlstl
Hi Min – It’s good to ado periodic reviews and adjust as needed. Enjoy your break! #mlstl
Taking a sabbatical is wise. I like that notion. Good on you Min and thanks for inspiring me to write topics that matched your linky’s theme.

And thanks to you Denyse for your continued support! 🙂 xo
